- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons (ensure it's kosher)
- Sriracha sauce - 2 teaspoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - for garnish
- Green onions - 2, chopped, for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, Sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, honey, and cornstarch to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well, ensuring all pieces are coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare the Brussels sprouts. Toss them in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken (discard the excess marinade) to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Once the chicken is cooked, add the roasted Brussels sprouts to the skillet and toss everything together, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
