- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Spring onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed, then add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, add the chili paste, and stir everything together for another 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, adjust seasoning with more salt if needed, and toss in chopped spring onions before serving.
