  • Rice noodles - 150 grams
  • Beef broth - 500 milliliters
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Add the sliced beef to the pot and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce and chili paste, mixing well to coat the beef. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. While the broth is simmering, cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
