Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Using a sharp knife, make a shallow 'X' cut on the flat side of each chestnut to prevent them from bursting while roasting.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the chestnuts with olive oil, sea salt, ground cinnamon, ground star anise, ground ginger, and chili powder (if using) until well coated.
