  • Silken tofu - 300 grams

  • Sichuan peppercorns - 1 teaspoon, toasted and ground
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, julienned

Steps

  1. Start by gently draining the silken tofu and placing it on a plate.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, minced ginger, ground Sichuan peppercorns, soy sauce, chili oil, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix well to create the sauce.
  3. Pour the sauce evenly over the tofu, allowing it to soak in.
  4. Sprinkle the finely chopped green onions and cilantro over the top of the tofu.
  5. Add the julienned cucumber around the tofu for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before serving for a cooler dish.
