Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 500 grams
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili bean paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Sichuan peppercorns - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, chili bean paste, Sichuan peppercorns, minced garlic, minced ginger, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Place the pork ribs in a large dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Once marinated, place the ribs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and cover them with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 hours, until they are tender.
  6. After 2 hours, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 220°C (430°F).
  7. Brush the ribs with some of the remaining marinade and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until they are caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
