Ingredients
- Pork ribs - 500 grams
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Chili bean paste - 1 tablespoon
- Sichuan peppercorns - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, chili bean paste, Sichuan peppercorns, minced garlic, minced ginger, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the pork ribs in a large dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Once marinated, place the ribs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and cover them with aluminum foil.
- Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 hours, until they are tender.
- After 2 hours, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 220°C (430°F).
- Brush the ribs with some of the remaining marinade and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until they are caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
