  • Dried red chili peppers - 3-4 pieces
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped

Steps

  1. Wash the Napa cabbage and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the Sichuan peppercorns and dried red chili peppers to the oil and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, cooking for an additional 30 seconds, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  5. Add the chopped Napa cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the cabbage is wilted and tender.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the cabbage and stir well to combine, cooking for another 2 minutes.
