  • Shiitake mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Oyster mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Sichuan peppercorns - 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cilantro - for garnish
  • Vegetable oil - for grilling

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and brown sugar to make the marinade.
  3. In a separate pan, dry roast the Sichuan peppercorns over low heat for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant, then crush them slightly using a mortar and pestle.
