Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 400 grams
  • Gluten-free soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours for better flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade occasionally, until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Slice the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
