Ingredients
- Chicken thighs - 400 grams
- Gluten-free soy sauce - 60 ml
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours for better flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade occasionally, until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
