Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Fresh scallions - 50 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2, preferably Chinese-style
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped scallions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and browned.
  4. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
  5. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cooked patty.
  6. Top each patty with sliced cucumbers and then cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
