- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Fresh scallions - 50 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2, preferably Chinese-style
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Cucumber - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped scallions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cooked patty.
- Top each patty with sliced cucumbers and then cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
