  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine gluten-free soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken thighs for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and charred, reaching an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
