- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, sliced for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, combine gluten-free soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the chicken thighs for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and charred, reaching an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
