Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Rice noodles - 150 grams
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable broth - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sugar to create the marinade.
  3. Marinate the tofu cubes in the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is marinating, cook the rice noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  5. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat, and add the marinated tofu. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  6. Add the sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet with the tofu and sauté for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  7. Stir in the cooked rice noodles and vegetable broth, mixing well to combine all ingredients. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the noodles to absorb the flavors.
  8. Season with black pepper and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
