- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Rice noodles - 150 grams
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable broth - 100 ml
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sugar to create the marinade.
- Marinate the tofu cubes in the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
- While the tofu is marinating, cook the rice noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat, and add the marinated tofu. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet with the tofu and sauté for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the cooked rice noodles and vegetable broth, mixing well to combine all ingredients. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the noodles to absorb the flavors.
- Season with black pepper and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
