  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. While the dough is resting, heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add fresh spinach and stir-fry until wilted. Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, then mix in chili flakes if using. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle (about 20 cm in diameter).
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and slightly crispy.
  7. Spread the spinach mixture evenly over each flatbread and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  8. Return the flatbreads to the skillet for another minute to warm the toppings slightly, then serve hot.
