Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 150 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh spinach - 200 grams
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- While the dough is resting, heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add fresh spinach and stir-fry until wilted. Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, then mix in chili flakes if using. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle (about 20 cm in diameter).
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and slightly crispy.
- Spread the spinach mixture evenly over each flatbread and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Return the flatbreads to the skillet for another minute to warm the toppings slightly, then serve hot.
