Ingredients

  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 200 grams
  • Egg noodles - 150 grams
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce (Kosher) - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 1 liter

Steps

  1. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a pot. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they are pink and opaque. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and remaining tablespoon of sesame oil. Pour this sauce over the cooked shrimp and stir to combine.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat the noodles in the sauce and shrimp evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
