- Shrimp - 300 grams, peeled and deveined
- Broccoli florets - 100 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, sliced thinly
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons (Kosher certified)
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 60 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water to create a smooth sauce. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of sesame oil, then add broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, pour in the prepared sauce, and stir well to combine everything. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
