Ingredients

  • Large shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 250 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, cornstarch, and water to create the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  4. Push the broccoli to the side of the skillet and add the shrimp, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
  5. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and broccoli, stirring well to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
