Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 80 milliliters
  • Red bean paste - 50 grams
  • Sesame seeds - 50 grams
  • Sugar - 20 grams
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and sugar.
  2. Gradually add water to the flour mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and flatten each piece into a small disc.
  4. Place a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center of each disc and fold the dough over to seal it, rolling it into a ball.
  5. In a shallow dish, spread the sesame seeds and roll each ball in the seeds until fully coated.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot.
  7. Carefully place the sesame seed balls in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  8. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  9. Remove the sesame seed balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
