  • Dried seaweed (wakame) - 20 grams

  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Soak the dried wakame seaweed in warm water for about 10 minutes until softened. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened seaweed, julienned cucumber, and julienned carrot.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red chili flakes (if using).
  4. Pour the dressing over the seaweed and vegetable mixture, tossing gently to combine.
  5. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds and chopped cilantro on top and toss lightly to distribute.
