Ingredients

  • Chicken wings - 500 grams
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Honey - 15 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame seeds - 30 grams
  • Cornstarch - 40 grams
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the wings are marinating, spread the cornstarch on a plate. Remove the wings from the marinade and dredge them in cornstarch until fully coated.
  5. Place the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  7. In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the wings to toast them slightly.
  8. Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before garnishing with sliced green onions.
