- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Snow peas - 50 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons (ensure it's kosher)
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. This will be your sauce.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and stir-fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same wok, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the broccoli, carrot, bell pepper, and snow peas. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the wok with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving. Serve hot with rice or noodles if desired.
