Ingredients
- Beef flank steak - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the brown sugar and rice vinegar to the skillet, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbly.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
