Ingredients
- Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 100 grams
- Scallops - 100 grams
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Wonton wrappers - 16 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Water - for steaming
Steps
- In a food processor, combine the shrimp, scallops, garlic, ginger, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped but not pureed.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the seafood filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to form a triangle, and pinch to seal. Repeat for all wrappers.
- Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
- Place the dumplings in the steamer basket without overcrowding. Steam for about 8-10 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
- Serve the dumplings hot with a side of soy sauce for dipping.
