Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 100 grams
  • Scallops - 100 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Wonton wrappers - 16 pieces
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Water - for steaming

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the shrimp, scallops, garlic, ginger, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped but not pureed.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the seafood filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to form a triangle, and pinch to seal. Repeat for all wrappers.
  3. Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the dumplings in the steamer basket without overcrowding. Steam for about 8-10 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through.
  5. Serve the dumplings hot with a side of soy sauce for dipping.
