Ingredients

  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams

  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Return the scallops to the skillet, and drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together gently for 1-2 minutes to warm through.
