Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Sugar - 5 grams
- Salt - 3 grams
- Scallions - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Vegetable oil - 30 ml
- Sesame oil - 10 ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms, about 8-10 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- While the dough rises, prepare the scallion oil by mixing vegetable oil, sesame oil, and the chopped scallions in a small bowl.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, approximately 1 cm thick.
- Spread the scallion oil mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, then coil it into a spiral shape and tuck the end under.
- Place the coiled dough onto a parchment-lined baking tray, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for another 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
