  • Salt - 3 grams
  • Scallions - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Vegetable oil - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. While the dough rises, prepare the scallion oil by mixing vegetable oil, sesame oil, and the chopped scallions in a small bowl.
  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, approximately 1 cm thick.
  6. Spread the scallion oil mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log, then coil it into a spiral shape and tuck the end under.
  8. Place the coiled dough onto a parchment-lined baking tray, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for another 15 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  10. Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top.
  11. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
