Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium (any color)
  • Zucchini - 1 small
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Honey or maple syrup - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) - 4 pieces

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey or maple syrup, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. While the tofu marinates, wash and cut the bell pepper and zucchini into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  6. Thread the marinated tofu, bell pepper, and zucchini onto the skewers alternately.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the tofu is golden and the vegetables are tender.
  8. Remove from the grill and serve hot, optionally garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
