Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Cold water - 80 ml
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Fresh spinach - 150 grams, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, finely sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 15 ml
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add cold water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms. Knead lightly for about 5 minutes, then wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of water and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Stir in green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface until about 3 mm thick. Cut into 10 cm squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each square. Fold the square over to create a triangle and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  5. Place the pastries on a lined baking sheet and lightly brush the tops with olive oil. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
