  • Chinese five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Chopped cilantro - 2 tablespoons, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add cold water, mixing until the dough comes together. Shape into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, Chinese five-spice powder, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to fit a 9-inch tart pan. Press the dough into the pan and trim any excess.
  6. Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the tart crust. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
