  • water - 200 milliliters
  • scallions - 2, finely chopped
  • carrot - 1 small, grated
  • ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, water, salt, black pepper, and soy sauce to form a smooth batter.
  2. Fold in the chopped scallions, grated carrot, and grated ginger until well incorporated.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of vegetable oil.
  4. Pour about 1/2 cup of the batter into the skillet, spreading it gently to form a pancake.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
