Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 100 grams
- Unsalted butter - 50 grams, chilled
- Cold water - 30 milliliters
- Eggs - 2 large
- Milk - 100 milliliters
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and chilled butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water gradually and mix until the dough comes together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, chopped green onions, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thick. Cut out circles to fit into your tart pans.
- Gently press the dough circles into the tart pans, trimming any excess dough from the edges.
- Pour the egg mixture into each tart shell, filling them about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the egg filling is set and the pastry is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
