Ingredients
- Octopus - 300 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a pot of boiling water, blanch the octopus for about 5 minutes, then remove and let cool. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes. Add the octopus pieces and marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated octopus and sauté for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper and chopped green onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately.
