- Rice paper wrappers - 4 sheets
- Cooked shrimp - 100 grams, halved lengthwise
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Cucumber - 1/2 medium, julienned
- Red bell pepper - 1/2 medium, julienned
- Fresh mint leaves - 10 leaves
- Fresh cilantro - 10 sprigs
- Lettuce leaves - 2 large, torn into pieces
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Chili sauce - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Prepare all the filling ingredients by washing and cutting the vegetables into thin strips and halving the shrimp.
- Fill a large bowl with warm water and soak one rice paper wrapper for about 10-15 seconds until it becomes soft and pliable.
- Lay the softened rice paper on a clean surface and place a piece of lettuce in the center, followed by a few pieces of shrimp, carrot, cucumber, red bell pepper, mint, and cilantro.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll the wrapper tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling completely.
- Repeat the process with the remaining rice paper wrappers and filling ingredients.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, lime juice, and chili sauce to create the dipping sauce.
- Serve the rice paper rolls on a plate with the dipping sauce on the side.
