- Warm water - 150 ml
- Vegetable oil - 15 ml
- Salt - 1 gram
- Red bean paste - 100 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt, then mix well.
- Gradually add the warm water and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten it into a disc. Place 25 grams of red bean paste in the center of each disc.
- Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a bun.
- Place the buns seam-side down on a parchment-lined steamer tray, cover them with a cloth, and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
- Steam the buns over boiling water for 10-12 minutes, or until they are fluffy and cooked through.
