Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Pumpkin puree - 100 grams
  • Fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Spring onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Sesame seeds - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the warm water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, grated ginger, chopped spring onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a flat disc about 1/2 cm thick.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil. Place one flatbread in the skillet and spread half of the pumpkin mixture on top. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Repeat the process with the second flatbread and remaining pumpkin mixture.
  6. Once both flatbreads are cooked, garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
