- Coconut aminos - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- Water - 200 ml
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine fermented black beans, minced garlic, minced ginger, coconut aminos, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, red chili flakes, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Rub the marinade all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally overnight in the refrigerator.
- Place the marinated ribs in a baking dish and add 200 ml of water to the bottom.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F).
- Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting the ribs with the pan juices every 10 minutes until they are caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
