- pork floss - 100 grams
- all-purpose flour - 200 grams
- warm water - 120 ml
- sugar - 10 grams
- active dry yeast - 5 grams
- salt - 3 grams
- vegetable oil - 15 ml
- milk - 30 ml
- sesame seeds - 10 grams
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, milk, and vegetable oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a rectangle.
- Spread a layer of pork floss evenly over each rectangle, then roll them up tightly from one end to the other.
- Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with a bit of milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
