- Vegetable oil - 15 grams
- Pork floss - 100 grams
- Soy sauce - 10 ml
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
- Coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten it into a disk.
- Brush a thin layer of soy sauce and sesame oil on each disk, then top with a generous amount of pork floss.
- Fold the edges of the disk over the filling to seal, then shape each bun into a smooth ball.
- Place the buns on a piece of parchment paper in a steamer basket. Cover and let them rise for an additional 15 minutes.
- Steam the buns over boiling water for 15-20 minutes until fluffy and cooked through.
