- Pork belly - 400 grams
- Chives - 50 grams, chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 200 ml
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt to create a marinade.
- Score the skin of the pork belly in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
- Place the pork belly in a baking dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's well-coated.
- Add the water to the baking dish, covering the bottom, and cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake the pork belly in the preheated oven for 60 minutes.
- After 60 minutes, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 220°C (428°F).
- Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the pork belly slices topped with chopped chives.
