Ingredients
- Pork belly - 250 grams, cut into thin strips
- Bell pepper (red or green) - 1 medium, sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Broccoli florets - 100 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 50 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons for frying
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the pork belly strips, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork belly and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked pork belly to the skillet, along with the chopped green onions and water. Drizzle with sesame oil and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and more soy sauce if needed. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
