  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Hoisin sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Cucumber (thinly sliced) - 100 grams
  • Carrot (shredded) - 50 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Cut the pork belly into thin strips and toss them in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Spread the marinated pork belly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until crispy and caramelized.
  5. While the pork is roasting, prepare the flatbreads by warming them in a pan for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly toasted.
  6. Once the pork is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces.
  7. To assemble, spread a thin layer of hoisin sauce on each flatbread, then top with the roasted pork belly, sliced cucumber, shredded carrot, and chopped green onions.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added crunch and flavor.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your Pork Belly Flatbread!
