Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Cut the pork belly into bite-sized cubes, approximately 2.5 cm each.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  4. Add the pork belly cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated pork belly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are spaced apart.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the pork belly is crispy and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
