- Ground pork - 200 grams
- Carrot - 50 grams, finely diced
- Cabbage - 100 grams, finely chopped
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
- Water - for sealing
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, diced carrot, chopped cabbage, green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the pork and vegetable filling into the center.
- Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water using your finger. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing out any air as you seal the edges tightly.
- To create a traditional wonton shape, bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal. Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully drop the wontons into the boiling water, cooking them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot.
- Cook the wontons for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
- Serve the wontons hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
