Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 150 grams
  • Raw shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100 grams
  • Wonton wrappers - 12 pieces
  • Green onion, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons for sealing wontons
  • Oil for frying - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced shrimp, green onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture into the center of the wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, pressing to seal. Then, bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal completely. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the wontons in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches) and fry until they are golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, remove the wontons from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce and a sprinkle of chopped green onions.
