Ingredients
- Ground pork - 200 grams
- Fresh chives - 50 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Dumpling wrappers - 20 pieces
- Water - 100 ml for steaming
- Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped chives, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat the cooking oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the potstickers in a single layer, making sure they do not touch.
- Cook the potstickers for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Carefully add the water to the skillet and cover immediately to steam the potstickers for about 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated.
- Remove the lid and cook for an additional 2 minutes to crisp the bottoms before serving.
