Ingredients
- Ground pork - 200 grams
- Green cabbage - 100 grams, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Pork rinds (crushed) - 50 grams
- Green onions - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Almond flour - 50 grams (for the dough)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, finely chopped cabbage, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg, crushed pork rinds, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the almond flour with a pinch of salt and enough water (about 50-60 ml) to form a pliable dough. Knead until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Flatten each ball into a thin circle, about 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the pork and cabbage filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and carefully add the dumplings. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot, optionally with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce and sesame oil.
