Steps
- Wash and peel the daikon radish, then slice it into thin rounds or matchsticks.
- In a bowl, sprinkle the salt over the daikon slices and let them sit for 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, water, sugar, and sliced garlic. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat.
