Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons (low sodium)
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon (optional for thickening)
  • Water - 50 ml

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the garlic, ginger, and onion, stirring for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced green and red bell peppers and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, then add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. If using cornstarch, dissolve it in the water and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the sauce is well combined.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
