Ingredients

  • Raw peanuts - 100 grams
  • Granulated sugar - 75 grams
  • Water - 30 ml
  • Honey - 15 grams
  • Salt - 1 gram
  • Sesame seeds - 10 grams (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat a pan over medium heat and dry roast the raw peanuts until golden brown, stirring frequently, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, honey, and salt. Stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Continue cooking without stirring until the syrup reaches a light amber color, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Add the roasted peanuts into the syrup and stir quickly to coat them evenly.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
  6. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before the candy cools.
  7. Allow the candy to cool completely at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes, then break it into pieces and serve.
