  • Chinese cabbage, shredded - 100 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken or lamb broth - 750 ml
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Coriander, chopped - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced ginger, stirring until fragrant.
  2. Add the diced lamb shoulder to the pot and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour in the chicken or lamb broth and water, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Add the julienned carrot and shredded Chinese cabbage, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Cook the fresh egg noodles separately according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  6. To serve, place a portion of noodles in a bowl, ladle the hot soup over the noodles, and top with chopped spring onions and coriander.
