Ingredients

  • Egg noodles - 150g
  • Beef broth - 600ml
  • Soy sauce (halal) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Spring onions (sliced) - 2
  • Carrot (julienned) - 1 small
  • Bok choy (chopped) - 100g
  • Coriander (fresh, chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the pot and cook until browned, around 3-4 minutes.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  4. Add the carrot and bok choy to the broth and let it cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. To serve, place the cooked noodles in bowls, ladle the hot beef and vegetable broth over the noodles.
  7. Garnish with sliced spring onions and fresh coriander before serving.
