Ingredients

  • Ground beef (grass-fed) - 300 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves (large, for wrapping) - 4 leaves
  • Cucumber (thinly sliced) - 100 grams
  • Carrot (julienned) - 50 grams
  • Cilantro (fresh, chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Red chili (sliced, optional) - 1
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, coconut aminos, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, form the beef mixture into 2 patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the vegetable wraps. Rinse and dry the lettuce leaves, and set them aside.
  4. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing one patty on each lettuce leaf. Top with sliced cucumber, julienned carrot, chopped cilantro, and optional sliced red chili.
  5. Wrap the lettuce around the filling to create a burger shape. Serve immediately while warm.
